Vegetable Farming in Hastings
Targeting 10 women-led households in Hastings Community, this group established 25 functional gardens using locally sourced tyres and sacks as planting containers — producing peppers, cabbage, tomatoes, onions, carrots, and more. All participants were trained in climate-smart agriculture, water-efficient irrigation, and basic crop management.

School Gardens at Dr June Primary
Working directly with Dr June Primary School at Sky Street to establish productive gardens within the school compound. Partnering with teachers and schoolchildren, they are integrating environmental education into everyday learning and connecting school communities to sustainable food production, biodiversity, and responsible land stewardship.

Community Resilience Training in Portee Wharf
Running a structured disaster resilience training programme in Portee Wharf, Wellington — a community highly exposed to flooding and climate-related hazards. Equipping community women with practical knowledge to identify risks, prepare for climate shocks, and respond effectively, while building a locally owned resilience framework.

Mangrove Restoration Initiative
Working with coastal communities to restore and protect mangrove ecosystems, which are critical for coastal defence, biodiversity, carbon storage, and the livelihoods of communities most exposed to rising sea levels and flooding.
